Over her career, Rabbi Ora Nitkin-Kaner (she/her) has served as a congregational rabbi, hospital and prison chaplain, and yoga and meditation teacher. The founder of Exploring Apocalypse, she now works as a climate change chaplain, helping individuals and communities move through climate anxiety and despair toward a deeper sense of purpose as they engage with climate change. A published liturgist and poet, Rabbi Nitkin-Kaner is also the recipient of numerous awards and scholarships, including the George Goldman Dvar Torah Award, Ontario Graduate Scholarship, and a Wexner Graduate Fellowship. Originally from Toronto, she lives in New Haven CT with her partner Asa and their sweet dog, Tuna.
